Our work for Nerium International is now award-winning

We are extremely honored at Hero to announce our recent Interactive Media Awards win for our work with Nerium International. IMA recognizes excellence in web design and development, and the Nerium site earned a Best in Class distinction in the Beauty/Cosmetics category.

The skincare and wellness brand came to Hero with a unique challenge: how to best connect with its customer audience and enable its network of sales affiliates through one eCommerce homebase. The previous site architecture was fragmented across eight different markets, so launching new regions and products was costly and time-intensive. To boost global growth of this direct-to-consumer brand, we needed to create a one-stop shop for Nerium’s customers, regional teams, and corporate marketing team.

The direct-to-consumer model has exploded over the past few years, skipping retail stores and entering straight into customers’ homes. The DTC revolution means simple yet luxurious products, an urgent need for quick adoption en masse, and a true end-to-end customer experience. Without placement in traditional retail stores, DTC brands have to rely entirely on their own systems for exposure.

The eCommerce experience we implemented for Nerium increases exposure by delivering focused content to users across regions and languages as well as custom content to its large network of direct-sales partners. The corporate marketing team can now efficiently launch and manage products in new markets. In addition, we shifted product messaging from formal and science-based to approachable and customer-focused, making the shopping experience enticing and accessible for all customers. Our success on the Nerium site was a result of our collaboration model, which allows strategists, designers, engineers, and data scientists to work together to reach amazing outcomes for clients. This project had a high bar and a quick turnaround deadline, and I couldn’t be more proud of the team for achieving the Best in Class accolade from IMA.
