Sephora Store of the Future – a guided tour

Hero Digital invites you to a guided tour of Sephora’s Store of the Future, the company’s largest store in the U.S. During the tour you will take a deep dive into the retailer’s omnichannel customer experience, which seamlessly binds the in-store, mobile, web, e-commerce and email channels. You will experience the way Sephora utilizes augmented reality to drive more business and identify market trends ahead of their competitors. The tour will be guided by Johnna Marcus, Senior Director for Sephora’s Innovation Lab.

Johnna Marcus, Senior Director for Sephora’s Innovation Lab

The Sephora Innovation Lab leads the development & deployment of innovative capabilities, while grooming Sephora’s next generation of digital leaders. The Sephora Innovation Lab is responsible for launching leading retail capabilities such Virtual Artist – a digital feature to allow clients to try on thousands of beauty products, compare favorites and shop products – from Sephora’s mobile apps, on product pages & in store.

Since joining Sephora in 2011, Johnna has held a variety of roles in mobile & store digital marketing and partnerships. During that time, she helped managed the mobile strategy for which Sephora secured the top spot in L2’s first Prestige Mobile IQ report & L2’s only “Genius” rankings in 5 years running. With her influence in this space, Johnna was named one of Mobile Marketer’s “Mobile Women to Watch” & one of iMedia’s Top 10 Hottest Digital Marketers.

Prior to joining Sephora, Johnna was the Director of Program Management for Innovation at Caesars Entertainment, where was responsible for identifying and piloting new marketing and customer service capabilities. She began her career as Project Manager at Sapient Nitro, leading projects in a range of industries from financial services, travel and hospitality, & automotive. Johnna is a graduate of the University of Washington’s College of Engineering.
